The company was founded in May 2004 and it is the result of the partnership between Dalkia Romania, the Municipality of and the Prahova County Council ; it was created for the delegation by concession of the management of Prahova’s public service of hot water and heat production, using the production - transportation - distribution centralized system. The company produces hot water, heat and electricity at the CHP plant in Brazi, being the only heat and hot water provider for the inhabitants of the city of Ploieşti.
We provide hot water and heat for almost 60,000 apartments in Ploieşti, many public institutions (kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, hospitals, etc.) and private companies: OMV (Petrobrazi Branch), Upetrom, Timken, ICERP, Romtelecom, BCR, BRD, Romanian Waters National Administration, Apa Nova, PECO, Prahova's Telecommunications Department, etc.

Dalkia Termo Prahova has begun a massive investments and technology improvement program at both the productions units and the transportation and distribution network, in order to provide high quality services for our customers, protecting the environment at the same time. After only 2 years since its creation, Dalkia Termo Prahova has managed to improve the service continuity rate from 94.92% to 99.8%, to bring back into the system former consumers and to connect new ones to the network (e.g. the "Mihai Viteazul" National College, the "Movila" Infectious Diseases Hospital).
